Home Health Monitoring

 

After a successful pilot program, a major Canadian healthcare service provider and a provincial health organization, engaged Starfish Channel Builders to develop a technology strategy for wide roll-out to the province followed by a program management leadership position to develop a provincial program.


Physician-Patient Self-Management Survey

 

A physician organization and the Province turned to Starfish Channel Builders to bring an established and proven patient self-management survey to the Province of BC. The service provided a means for patients to focus in on their health priorities and use the results to improve their communications with their physician. In addition, the physician received valuable feedback from the patient on the quality of their communications and care.


Provincial Health Services Directory

 

HealthLink BC turned to Starfish Channel Builders to build the Province of BC's first comprehensive healthcare directory covering all public and private services and practitioners. This massive effort resulted in a highly-functional, enterprise-class directory designed to support general practitioners in their referral processes.


Provincial Health Information Service

 

When HealthLink BC needed to quickly build a non-emergency information service, they turned to Starfish Channel Builders for a solution. The "811" service was designed, built and launched in under eight months. The solution encompassed a new website, call centre and data steward teams. Today the service answers hundreds questions from British Columbians every day.

Workflow Analysis

 

The BC Utilities Commission turned to Starfish Channel Builders to analyze, chart and report on its operational workflows. The report identified areas for improvement and possible process, technology and human resource solutions.


Information Technology Strategy

 

After an analysis of its workflow challenges, the BC Utilities Commission asked Starfish Channel Builders to produce an IT strategic plan for renewal of its tools and system infrastructure. The plan included analysis of options, costing of solutions and a complete multi-phase implementation plan.
